Let’s be honest, which one of us hasn’t dreamed of being in a pageant? Walking with a confident stride in shimmering gowns with long trains across the stage, having a quick wit, compassion and being surrounded by equally strong and supportive women. Not to forget the glimmering tiara that you’d get to wear.

It is the ultimate girlhood experience. You too can now have the chance to experience all the glitz and glamour that the pageantry has to offer if you are a Bahraini national.

Not too long ago we had our eyes out for the next Miss Universe Bahrain 2023. With the stunning Lujane Yacoub winning the title at just 19 years old, she set the record as the youngest contender to hold this title. Now it can be your turn.

This prestigious competition has proven to be more than just a beauty pageantry. It aims at making an impact and giving a platform for women to have a voice and showcase their talents. It is a platform for Bahraini women at large to be seen and have their voices heard on an international level.

The Miss Universe Bahrain 2024 has opened its doors to applicants earlier for the upcoming competition and will be set in the beautiful city of Mexico. The Yugen Group, a Dubai-based agency has managed to successfully host three editions of the pageant show, one of which gained the traction of over 10 million media and social media impressions globally. With the competition having gained the recognition it deserves we can only expect much bigger things for the fourth edition.

The owner and National Director of the organisation,  Josh Yugen revealed, “We have decided to open the application process early for the next edition as we would like to prepare the next titleholder for the competition ahead of the finals. We would like her to enjoy her reign and experience a lot of activities before going to Mexico. We realize that these experiences of the titleholder are an instrumental foundation for her especially during the competition.”

Here are the qualifying requirements to enter the competition.

  • Applicants must be a Bahraini citizen
  • Applicants can be of any size
  • Applicants can be any age above 18
  • Applicants who are married, divorced or expecting can enter
  • Applicants must display an active portfolio for their social work and must actively engage in making a meaningful impact on society

The horizons for this year’s competition have only broadened with these requirements. This not only pushes for inclusivity but also changes how people have viewed Middle Eastern women to be. The pageant show has truly become a platform for strong and resilient Bahraini women. So, you’re ready to go get that crown, head on over to www.houseofyugen.com to apply.
