The first instalment of Metacon powered by Gala is here and tickets are now on sale. This is a unique pop culture convention that takes the metaverse into reality. The convention is set to take place on the 28th and the 29th of May at The Arena, Dubai World Trade Center.
Each of these tickets comes with a Metacon One NFT token allowing visitors all access to exclusive NFT drops, satellite events, networking sessions and so much more. Tickets start from Dhs100 and can be found here.
This convention comes in celebration of the latest technologies in the world of gaming and tech, whether it’s eSports, NFTs, art, music, entertainment and more. MetaCon will be taking its four zones: MetaStage, MetaConnect, MetaArena and MetaSpaces into reality.
The MetaStage will be hosting sessions and panel discussions that will tackle on the metaverse’s most rending topics, meanwhile MetaConnect will focus on more intimate workshops that are focused on practicality and usefulness when it comes to entering the world of blockchain. Visitors will have the opportunity to network with vital personalities in the MetaSpaces zone, while MetaArena will focus on top eSports and gaming showcases.
The MetaStage will include speakers like Dr. Marwan AlZarouni, CEO of Dubai Blockchain Centre and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council. The President of Blockchain at Gala Games, Jason Brink and many more will also be attending.
Another aspect to look at during MetaCon is the Metavator challenge, a pitch competition aimed to target innovators in the metaverse, NFT and game. This challenge is organised by One&Only with the support of Dubai Youth Council. The prise is up to Dhs75,000 cash, NFTS, mentorship support, investor connect and so much more.
