Marc Jacobs loves a mirror selfie almost as much as he loves a platform boot. During lockdown, the designer has been sharing OTT outfit upon OTT outfit with his 1.5 million followers, but today’s content was more important than most.

Sitting on a hospital chair, Jacobs posted a mirror selfie of himself midway through his Covid-19 vaccination. Despite the sterile occasion, the 57-year-old didn’t skimp on his wardrobe, donning a pair of hot pink trousers, a black top, a thin black and white print scarf, and, of course, his favourite pair of Rick Owens platform boots.

Due to the pandemic, the designer, usually one of New York Fashion Week’s most notable inclusions, opted out this season. His decision was mirrored by other big names such as Ralph Lauren, The Row, Pyer Moss, Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta and Proenza Schouler.

Instead, Jacobs has been working on his new collection while making sure to spend downtime in the snow and celebrate Valentine’s Day—in a very OTT way, of course.
