The much-loved Dubai-based Egyptian influencer, Mai Maxwell, better known as Mai’s Vault, has announced she is officially cancer-free.

The influencer, who revealed she was battling cancer last year, took to Instagram to share the news of her recovery.

“I’m beyond grateful to say I’m cancer-free—still healing, still rising,” she said. Thanking her family and her fanbase, she continued, “[I] am so grateful for my family and this amazing online family. Your messages, prayers, and encouragement carried me through more than you know.”

Maxwell, known for her humourous content, shared a video of her recovery journey from breast cancer. Showing the hidden battles she faced over the last seven months, the influencer showcased moments through every healing phase.

Fans immediately flocked to her post with heartfelt congratulations and blessings, to which Mai responded with a following reel expressing her love and gratitude for her community.

“Here we go again. I’m not used to this,” she quipped. She expressed her appreciation: “I feel loved, and I feel so much gratitude.”

“Honestly, it’s been a hard journey, but I appreciate you guys,” Mai shared, thanking her 2.3 million followers.

The 31-year-old revealed in November last year she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in September, around the same time as her birthday.

At the time, she had been undergoing specialised treatment, including chemotherapy, which had caused her hair to fall out, but prompted the content creator to “experiment with wigs and different looks”.

Nearly six months on, Mai is looking ahead and is continuing to keep a positive outlook on the experience and is continuing to thank her followers.

“You guys made this more pleasant than it could have been,” she told her fans. “This is not a page for crying, or sadness or being emotional; this is a platform for being happy.

“I truly am happy to have you guys.”
