Taking over our screens, Love Is Blind: Habibi has quickly become the most-watched Netflix reality TV show in the MENA region.
So much so, that the regional spin-off of the iconic pods-and-romance even reached the global eyes.
With the myriad of watchers still hung over the series, many can’t get enough of the personalities and the singles-turned-couples.
After nine episodes and an endless cycle of conversations between the 20 cast members, only five couples got together towards the latter part of the series and got engaged.
But, as the pairs tried to make things work and traverse through the challenge of answering the question, “Is love really blind?”, only one couple stood strong amongst everyone.
Who got married?

At the end of a tumultuous journey behind the pods, Safa and Mohammed were the only couple that ended up together. Throughout the series, the pair hit it off immediately. While still in the pods, Safa who is a financial manager, set her standards and boundaries on what she expects in a relationship. “Respect, communication, generous, decent and caring,” she said in the first episode. While Mohammad, a marketing and branding professional ensured to reciprocate the vision of a married life based on the same. Ultimately, the couple tied the knot in a garden wedding.
Who didn’t get married?
Asma & Khatab

Fans of the show are well aware that despite reaching the big day, the once-engaged couple decided to call it quits at the pulpit. Asma, after having a difficult time in the proclaimed love triangle between Khatab and Mido, decided to say yes to Khateb, despite a rough patch during the first few episodes. In the end, because of her family’s reluctance to the proposal, the pair eventually split.
Karma & Ammar

While surely the pair shared a bond for humour and a love for music, Karma and Ammar never really got to see eye-to-eye. Especially since Ammar, a dentist, holds firmly on traditional ethics. During the stay in the infamous pods, Karma already sets her boundaries by implying that Ammar’s proposal was too early at the stage. Despite saying yes in the later episodes, just a day before the wedding ceremony, the two had an authentic conversation on a topic about dancing, which conclusively ended up splitting the pair.
Simo & Hajar

Throughout the series, Simo and Hajar had a turbulent relationship. Already having arguments and disagreements at the pods, the pair decided to get engaged to see where things would head off. During a casual lunch date, Hajar’s comment on a waitress made Simo rethink his decision and ultimately left her after a couple of bites. Though the couple almost made it to the ceremony, Hajar eventually backed out.
Dounia & Chafic

Almost tying the knot in the last episode, Dounia and Chafic, under mutual terms promptly announced they won’t get married. After what seemed to be a great pair during the pods phase, where Chafic instantly admitted his affection for Dounia, they both later realised they weren’t the greatest fit post the grand face reveal.
Nour & Mido

When personalities clash, it without a doubt leads to a breakup. Known for her can-do attitude and fashionable outfits, Nour undoubtedly became the season’s favourite. While the pair shared some affection and got engaged, Nour and Mido realised their personalities and values didn’t align after the meet-up outside the pods. Subsequently, the two had one of the most major breakups in the season.
