After her appearance at the top-rated Netflix reality show Love Is Blind, Habibi, model and influencer Nour El Haj has taken the road to stardom.

With growing followers who enjoy her outspoken personality and witty comments, the Lebanese star is already making waves as an icon.

Taking her newfound title as everyone’s favourite, the model took to TikTok to share her many thanks for the love she has received since the show’s release.

“At this point, I’m honestly speechless,” she started. Relaying her gratitude to her ever-growing fanbase, she added, “I cannot explain how happy I am. Honestly, I don’t know what to say. I’m very grateful for every and each one of you.”

As she closed the TikTok sharing her admiration for her fanbase, she further delved into her openness to interact and socialise with her fans, “Please don’t feel shy if you see me outside. Honestly, I’m also a shy person. But if you want to talk to me or take a picture, I would be so glad.”

What happened To Nour & Mido in Love Is Blind Habibi?

After nine episodes and an endless cycle of conversations between the 20 cast members, only five couples got together towards the latter part of the series and got engaged — which includes Nour and her partner in the series, Mido.

But as the pairs tried to make things work and traverse through the challenge of answering the question, “Is love really blind?”, only one couple stood strong amongst everyone.

Though Nour wasn’t able to find her match with Mido due to personality clashes, she still ended up becoming the season’s fan favourite.

While the pair did share some affection and got engaged, Nour and Mido realised their personalities and values didn’t align after the meet-up outside the pods. Subsequently, the two had one of the most major breakups in the season.

How does Love Is Blind Habibi Work?

The contestants began in the infamous pods, where they built emotional connections through voice alone. Over the course of several weeks, conversations got deeper and eventually, proposals were made between the singles.

After a grand face reveal,  fiancés met face-to-face. But compared to its Western counterpart, Love Is Blind, Habibi functioned without the honeymoon phase with respect to the culture and region.

Instead, viewers got to see the respective cultures of each pair beyond the pods. From pre-wedding traditions such as the Katb al-Katb to even henna nights (a lively gathering for women before the wedding).

Bringing in more traditional values, the series also showcased the family’s participation in the engagement process.
