Bringing drama, romance, and ultimately one true pair, Netflix is officially launching the famed reality series Love Is Blind to the MENA region. Titled as, Love Is Blind Habibi, the local adaptation will be available for streaming from October 10, 2024.
With Arab singles from across the region stepping into the spotlight, the series promises all the familiarity of its American counterpart, but with a distinct cultural twist.
Love Is Blind Habibi is set to highlight the rich traditions of Arab marriage customs, all while keeping the signature pods-and-proposals setup that has fans hooked worldwide.
In true Love Is Blind fashion, the question remains: Is love really blind? But this time, the experiment dives deeper into the cultural avenues of the Arab world, offering viewers a glimpse into how love and tradition collide in the modern age.
To make things even more exciting, the show will be hosted by Saudi Arabia’s star-studded couple, Elham Ali and Khaled Saqer.
All the details on Love Is Blind Habibi
Following the iconic format that’s expanded across the globe (from Brazil to Japan and beyond) contestants will begin in the infamous pods, where they’ll build emotional connections through voice alone. Over the course of several weeks, conversations will get deeper and eventually, proposals will be made.
Only then, after a face reveal (if you will), will the fiancés meet face-to-face. After a prompt meeting, the engaged couple will get a much-needed escape before setting the tone of their grand wedding.
But with an Arab twist, we can expect more Middle Eastern nuances to the series as shown in the teaser.
