There’s no denying that Dounia and Chafic from Love Is Blind, Habibi has captured the region and the world with their undeniable chemistry and charm.
Since the first season aired, fans of the show instantly noticed the spark between the two. Though their initial engagement on the ninth episode ended on a mutual decision to not push through the wedding, it seems they have found each other again after a year of filming – this time on the road to saying I do.
After revealing their relationship on the reunion episode, fans of the two immediately flocked to their Instagram pages to congratulate the couple. Especially since Chafic mentioned they had plans to tie the knot.
While fans were thrilled to see them together outside the pods, there had been no news of an engagement. Surprising their followers, the youngest pair of the show shared photos of their intimate proposal on Instagram which has gone viral and accumulated over 241,000 likes.
Sharing her excitement on the engagement, Dounia took to Instagram and opened up about the proposal, which turned out to be a complete surprise. “I wanted to talk to everyone about the beautiful surprise Chafic did for me,” she said in the Instagram story.
Dounia further mentioned it was completely “unexpected” but still, utterly heartfelt. Continuing the story, she said, “Mr Chafic told me that we would be having lunch, and that the dress code was all white.”
“When we arrived, and got closer and closer, he pulled out a bandana and put it over my eyes. I wasn’t expecting anything at all,” she declared.
All while smiling from ear to ear, she further delved into how Chafic gently guided her through the venue, which she initially thought was just going to be a private lunch at a resort. She mentioned how despite the fact she had no expectations of what was going to happen, she stated, “The moment he removed the bandana, my heart dropped. [The surprise] It made the whole thing more special. And then he went on one knee!”
Now officially on the journey to marriage, fans of the two flooded their collaborated post with well-wishes – including heartfelt messages from fellow cast members, Safa, Simo, Asma and others who congratulated them.
