Tennis skirts are out and horse-riding outfits are in for Loro Piana’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Women’s Collection.
The Maison’s latest is an evocative, equestrian journey that anchors itself in the timeless values of harmony, craftsmanship, and a love for nature. It’s inspired by vast, untamed landscapes – from Argentina’s rugged terrains to the Scottish Highlands and the boundless plains of New Zealand and Australia – and weaves a narrative of connection between clothing and life.

Sergio Loro Piana thought of horse riding as a “school of life”. This is something that we can see resonating throughout the collection, blending discipline with a reverence for nature. Silhouettes flow organically, marrying functionality with a feminine sense of refinement.
The Argentinian-inspired pantskirt emerges as a standout, merging tailored precision with equestrian pragmatism.
Voluminous layers in tonal hues – dark brandy, creamy vanilla, and deep oak – create an ombré effect that’s to die for, while Cartella Inglese patterns add a subtle complexity to the look. Bouclé fabrics and aquarelle tones nod to femininity, balanced by mannish tailoring and quilted jackets that echo the Scottish countryside.

Think of a night out at the opera, and that’s what you get with the eveningwear in the collection. The classic silhouette is reimagined with the signature ease characteristic of Loro Piana. Silk satin and charmeuse gowns in classic black or white glide alongside quilted silk cape versions of the iconic Spagna jacket, while wide-brimmed hats and slender riding boots ground the looks in practicality.

Accessories shine with understated luxury: enamel jewellery in geometric shapes, the new Needle bag (inspired by knitting needle cases), and the Loom bag in nubuck zibeline. A collaboration with Le Chameau introduces rubber boots lined with Loro Piana’s signature softness, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern utility.
The collection’s pièce de résistance is Royal Lightness, a ground-breaking fabric that’s been two years in the making. Combining 13.5-micron Merino wool and 21-denier Mulberry Silk, this gossamer yarn is transformed into ethereal knitwear, while the double-sided cashmere-silk fabric weighs a mere 350 grams per metre.
The Royal Lightness yarn poses a perplexing challenge: the yarn is almost too delicate to knit together. Only the master craftsmanship and profound know-how at Loro Piana ensures that the fibres do not break. The Royal Lightness fabric takes an equal amount of artisan expertise, as the finishing uses fell stitching, a rare ancient technique that only a few people can boast knowing about.
Loro Piana’s Fall/Winter collection takes equestrian elegance and makes it a realistic option for daily wear, epitomising the Maison’s pursuit of innovation without compromise.
