A Kuwaiti fashion influencer has reportedly been detained after being involved in a car crash last week.
Per Arab News, Fatima Almomen was driving in Kuwait last Thursday which resulted in a collision, leaving two people dead and two injured.
Almomen, who boasts a huge following online, has been detained and is now awaiting a court date.
According to the Khaleej Times, a two-way crash happened at approximately 3.17am on Thursday, which was stated by the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait.
The outlet also reports the driver skipped a red light and was allegedly found with “intoxicating substances” in her system, along with a passenger. However, this hasn’t been confirmed.
Almomen has been detained for 10 days on the following charges including manslaughter, accidental injury, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving through a red light, speeding, not carrying a license and more.
Almomen has over two million followers on Instagram and is a well-known face in the fashion world having worked with some big-name luxury brands in the past.
