Kendall Jenner popped onto Instagram to celebrate the new year yesterday, sharing a photo dump of her very wholesome New Year’s Eve, which she spent in the countryside with her boyfriend Devin Booker.
The gallery began with an image of Jenner holding up a bottle of her 818 Tequila with a ‘Happy New Year’ headband on and a festive sweater. Other photos showed a red barn-like farmhouse where the pair maybe stayed, a beautiful misty forest view, two bottles of corked wine, more cosy outfits, and cute couple mirror selfie, in which Booker and Jenner posed side-by-side and smiled for the camera.
At first glance, this dump looks like nothing more than a rare look into the model and NBA player’s usually private love life (and a Covid-friendly romantic NYE for two)—we love to see it!—but upon closer inspection, a piece of jewellery spotted on Booker’s hand has fans spiralling. More specifically, a gold band spotted on his left ring finger.
Though Jenner’s hand was void of any jewellery (the one in shot, anyway), that didn’t stop the comments rolling in thick and fast: “Anyone else notice the ring on his hand?”; “He’s wearing a wedding ring?”; “I see a ring on that finger”; “But his ring…,” etc, etc.
Though neither Jenner nor Booker have commented on the speculation, Jenner did once pretend to be engaged to him to prank her sister, Kourtney Kardashian. Plus, fast engagements aren’t uncommon in her family nor friends (hi, Justin and Hailey!). Booker also posted his own NYE content, opting for a nighttime shot showing Jenner standing in front of a lit up barn. “Spent New Years by a fire,” he wrote.
Furthermore, a source opened up about the couples’ close relationship to E! News last year, saying “they are crazy about each other” and that “[Jenner] didn’t expect this, but it’s become the healthiest and best relationship she has ever been in. She definitely feels like this is different and more serious.”
