Seems like another footballer is moving to Saudi to make his mark in the Middle East. Currently, the striker for the Saudi Professional League club Al-Ittihad, footballer Karim Benzema announced his signing on a free transfer. Joining him on his new journey is his partner, Jordan Ozuna. In more recent news, Jordan had accepted the faith of Islam and converted, in an intimate ceremony in a Mosque in Madrid. The couple made their relationship official when the striker received his Ballon d’Or in 2022 at the gala when they showed up together. Jordan took to Instagram to congratulate him on his big day. The duo reportedly began seeing each other while the American model supported the football player during his Champions League Finals in 2022. The couple since then have posted each other on Instagram on rare occasions.
Earlier this year in April the couple welcomed their first child together. Father of now four children, Benzema is set to move to Saudi as he recently signed a two-year contract with Al-Ittihad and accompanying him in his new endeavour is his girlfriend. Following that news, Jordan recently revealed that she had converted to Islam. In an exclusive interview with El Mundo, she shared “I have researched a lot about this religion and find it beautiful. During Ramadan, I read the Qur’an, and it made me cry.” The model further commented that it was a beautiful yet sentimental ceremony. “I also read The Sacred Path to Islam, about a Christian who converts to Islam, like me. A really precious book,” she added. Karim Benzema, who is a devout Muslim himself, chose to support her through the process.
Following in the footsteps of the famous celebrity couple, Christiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez, Benzema and Ozuna’s move to Saudi is something the couple are looking forward to. Jordan claims she is excited about her move to Saudi Arabia in an interview with YoDona “I feel like adventure and to really get to know the culture and food. I’ve heard it’s very pretty.” But, could all of this lead to the footballer popping the question? Only time will tell.
