Currently on the promotional tour for her new romantic comedy Marry Me, musician, actress and businesswoman Jennifer Lopez has been spotted in layers of Bulgari diamonds – to the tune of approximately AUD $300,000 (USD $217,000.)
The 52-year-old selected pieces from the jewellery giant’s Serpenti, B.zero1 and Divas’ Dream collections. Most strikingly, she layered Bulgari’s Serpenti Viper necklace in pink gold and demi-pave diamonds, with the B.zero1 Rock necklace in yellow gold and diamonds, the Divas’ Dream necklace in pink gold with malachite and diamonds, and the Serpenti Seduttori necklace in pink gold with malachite, sapphire and diamonds. An eclectic mix of stones, the malachite accents paired well with her emerald green Versace brunch-coat in the makeup chair.

Marry Me sees Lopez play a Latin pop superstar named Kat who is set to marry her rockstar fiancé (played by Maluma) at a live broadcast television event at Madison Square Garden in New York. But minutes before the ceremony, news breaks that her fiancé has been cheating on her with her assistant. Panicked, Kat picks a random man in a windbreaker in the crowd to marry. That man is Charlie (played by Wilson), and they fall in love.
“It’s a decision that winds up changing the course of her life,” says Lopez in a recent interview. “Sometimes you have to take leap off a cliff and just know that God is going to catch you, that you’re going to fly, that you might not hit the bottom, and that you actually might soar… I believe that very much too.”
Coming off his Wes Anderson’s anthology film The French Dispatch, it will be good to see Wilson return to his romantic comedy roots (Marley And Me, anyone?), and who better to play opposite than The Wedding Planner herself?
Marry Me will release into Australian cinemas on February 10 and American cinemas on February 11.
