Those in the world of tech (and consumers alike) are gearing up for one of the biggest events in the calendar – the annual unveiling of the latest iPhone model. The impending launch of the iPhone 15 is reportedly a mere six weeks away, and it’s set to be the “biggest update to the device in three years,” according to Bloomberg.

In line with previous years, Apple is known to unveil its latest iPhone models, along with other novelties and updates, with an event in September. This year, Bloomberg reports it will take place on September 12 or September 13, with the iPhone 15 expected to go on sale 10 days later around September 22, 2023.

So, what exactly can we expect from the new model that’s reportedly the “biggest update” to the iPhone since 2020? There’s reportedly set to be huge improvements to the camera, a faster processor and a change in the charging port to USB-C. As for all the other bells and whistles, we’ll have to wait until the highly anticipated Apple Event.

As for the various iPhone 15 models, there will reportedly be four – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

But the biggest question that will be playing on most people’s minds. What about the price tag? According to Barclays analyst Tim Long, in a report by MacRumours, there will be a price increase reportedly between $100-200 (Dhs370-740).

  • iPhone 15: from $799 (approximately Dhs2,937)
  • iPhone 15 Plus: from $899 (approximately Dhs3,300)
  • iPhone 15 Pro: from $1,099 (approximately Dhs4,030)
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: from $1,299 (approximately Dhs4,770)

It is important to note that these unofficial prices are merely estimations.

Regarding its specific feature upgrades, rumour has it that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will include an advanced Telephoto lens that enables up to 5-6x unblurred zoom, in comparison to the 3x on the current Pro models. Keep an eye out for Apple’s announcement in September for more information.
