Symbolising the power of women in the UAE in crafting their narratives with style and substance, this Emirati Women’s Day she pays tribute to the women of the Emirates in an exclusive interview with GRAZIA.

Below, she discusses her pride for her country, her role models and exactly what she envisions for the future.

GRAZIA: What makes you proud to be an Emirati woman?

Jawaher Al Suwaidi (JAS): My culture and traditions. The emirates has become the leading country in so many fields. Women are respected and encouraged in their professions. This society puts women first & I couldn’t be prouder.

GRAZIA: Which Emirati women do you look up to and aspire to be like?

JAS: My mother. She is the kindest, strongest women I know who until this day works very hard!

GRAZIA: How do you hope to inspire other Emirati women?

JAS: I hope to inspire other Emirati women to believe that they can have everything they dream of. I hope I can show them that nothing can stop them from becoming who they want to be and that they can achieve all their goals.

GRAZIA: This year the theme of Emirati Women’s Day is “We Collaborate for Tomorrow”. What does this mean to you?

JAS: Strong women coming together to create a better future for our children.

GRAZIA: What do you envision the future to be like for women in the Emirates?

JAS: I truly believe that Emirati women will inspire the world. Their success will be noticed and appreciated internationally and globally.
