Supermodel Imaan Hamman has entered the Holy Month by encouraging her followers to keep Palestine in their hearts.

The Dutch-Moroccan-Egyptian beauty has long been an advocate for the Palestinian cause and proudly displays her Arab roots.

On Tuesday, Imaan took to Instagram with a heartfelt message to welcome the beginning of Ramadan.

“Ramadan Kareem to all my brothers and sisters. Please keep Palestine in your hearts as we enter this month of reflection, compassion, forgiveness, worship and charity,” she wrote on the platform.

She also highlighted the work of the Baitulmaal. a non-profit organisation which provides emergency aid and relief in Gaza, encouraging people to support their efforts and continue to aid Palestinian-owned businesses.

Last month, the model starred in a music video with Canadian-Sudanese singer and songwriter, Mustafa Ahmed. Titled Imaan, meaning ‘faith’ in Arabic, the song and video tell a meaningful story about divinity, religion, and the struggles of a complex spiritual journey.

In the video, Imaan can be seen donning a headscarf while we follow along on her life as a young Muslim woman. According to the model, the project represents something deeply personal to her. “March 5th marks the unveiling of something deeply cherished and profoundly meaningful to me. ‘Imaan,’ not just a song, but a journey of faith, culture, and connection,” she shared on Instagram.

Not long after the song’s release, Mustafa shared how the model was integral to the song’s creation. “A love song this wide could only come through you. Thank you for bringing this visual to light with your own fabrics, struggle, hope, distance, and closeness with faith. Every contradiction, sin, and repentance leads us to our truth,” he wrote.

This isn’t the first time the model has connected with her roots. Last year, she visited Morrocco, and posted a series of images in traditional clothing and enjoying local cuisine. She also previously spoke up for Palestine in October, saying she will continue to “pray and fight for peace.”
