MÉDECINS SANS FRONTIÈRES IN SPAIN

Huda Beauty is on a constant quest to give back. Following a US$200k donation to support freelance make-up artists unable to work during the pandemic, taking a 100 per cent paycut and aiding COVID-19 relief with BeautyUnited – alongside Victoria Beckham and Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Kattan now joins the footsteps of local fashion labels, such as Lilian Afshar, to donate to Médecins Sans Frontières.

Huda will donate US$150,000 to MSF, a charity organisation the beauty mogul has been supporting since 2016. The label also encourages others to join and support the doctors fighting COVID-19 globally by making a donation of any size via hudabeauty.com and yallagive.com.

In a joint statement, Huda and Mona Kattan revealed: “Working with Médecins Sans Frontières has been so important for us because our family were immigrants and several of our extended family members and friends have been made refugees by political crises in their home countries. So we really empathise with all underserved communities who either don’t have access to or aren’t able to afford healthcare. That’s why for us, the work that MSF does is so crucial and when it came time to choose which charity organization we wanted to get behind to fight the COVID-19 crisis, they were the first people that came to mind and we’re so proud to be partnering with them.”

The medical teams work in over 70 countries to support the most neglected during a health crisis, including the elderly, refugees, migrants and homeless people. MSF provides relief on multiple fronts: caring for patients, offering health education and mental health support, distributing personal protective equipment and providing vital training in infection control measures.

Huda Beauty will be matching the donations made through its website with its donation totaling US$150,000 in matched funds to the Médecins Sans Frontières COVID-19 Relief Fund.

100 per cent of the proceeds of donations made through the Doctors Without Borders website will go to COVID-19 relief funds. Donations made from the UAE through yallagive.com will be subject to a 4 per administrative fee and 10 per will be allocated to the UAE International Humanitarian City’s projects approved by the department. This campaign is registered in the UAE under permit #3045 by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) of the UAE.
