Holiday season is approaching, which means so are endless evenings of family reunions and spirited celebrations. We know an oversaturated schedule of events can be overwhelming, but there’s an easy yet joyfully luxurious way to entertain: enter  the quintessential dirty martini. Vodka or gin, dry or dirty, there’s a martini for every mood – and GRAZIA has sampled them all. And whilst we don’t discriminate between our martinis (we love all our cocktails equally), today we’re spotlighting one tipple in particular, the classic dirty martini.

Perhaps the most tailor-made mixed drink out there, the martini can be amped up with an extra splash of olive juice for an even ‘dirtier’ cocktail, or wined down with less vermouth. So, what do you need? An ice cold bottle of Grey Goose from the freezer, pitted olives, olive brine, a bottle of vermouth, and lots of ice.

Ingredients

  • 75 ml Grey Goose vodka
  • 15 ml Dry vermouth (Grey Goose recommend Noilly Prat)
  • 15 ml Mediterranean olive brine
  • 5 Mediterranean olives

How to Make

  1. Pit two olives and muddle with the olive brine in the base of a Boston glass.
  2. Add Grey Goose vodka and vermouth, top with cubed ice and stir.
  3. Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with three olives on a pick.

Now sip and enjoy – preferably while flipping through our Grey Goose X GRAZIA cocktail book for more inspo.
