Meet Zuzu, the founder and face of Zuzu Clinic, a highly successful aesthetics clinic in Mayfair London. Zuzu’s journey to success is an inspiring story which has required incredible determination, commitment, passion and a high level of skill as an aesthetics practitioner. From a young age she knew that she wanted to be in the aesthetic industry. At first, she considered cosmetic dentistry, but during her gap year at eighteen, she discovered an exciting opportunity: the need for skilled microblading professionals in London.
“I was on Instagram and saw a really great artist in Mexico,” she said. “I watched his work for a couple of months, then realized actually we don’t have this quality of work in London. Most brow artists tattooed the brows on and didn’t use the hair stroke technique. So I looked into it and found a couple training academies,” Zuzu explains.
Zuzu is a self-described “proud British Arab of Iraqi descent” and her heritage has had a significant impact on her journey to success. She extolls her culture as having a “key role” in her industriousness and the direction of her work. She can speak and write fluent Arabic, which is useful as around 80% of her clients are Middle Eastern. Zuzu Clinic caters to the Middle Eastern beauty aesthetic. Her understanding of what her clients desire attracts a dedicated clientele from across London and much further afield. She has noted that several Middle Eastern clients travel to London specifically for her services.

The clinic, which was started by Zuzu when she was just 18 years old, has been in operation for eight years and has built a reputation for exceptional results—a remarkable feat considering the challenges Zuzu encountered in building her business, such as attending university while also launching and building her business.
“This was difficult, as my peers were enjoying university life, while I had to split my time between classes and the business,” she says. “My priorities differed from others my age, but this allowed me to travel and afford things that they couldn’t.”
When Zuzu set up her business and started promoting her brand, she had no experience with social media or marketing. Being “blessed” with great eyebrows, Zuzu decided to be the face of her brand and gave herself six months to be successful. Due to her hard work, skills and dexterity, she soon had a dedicated clientele base and the Zuzu brand started to grow rapidly.

“Beyond technical skills, I prioritize building genuine relationships with my clients, understanding their unique needs, and tailoring treatments to achieve their desired results. This personalized approach fosters trust and satisfaction, leading to a loyal client base,” Zuzu says.
Zuzu graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Adult Nursing. She also has a Level 3 qualification in “Training and Education,” which enables her to teach others effectively. Because of the high demand for microblading, Zuzu also decided to launch her own training academy which has been a great success.. She even wrote a curriculum herself and the academy has now been in operation for four years.

Zuzu’s dedication, work ethic, skill, and genuineness are why her clients frequent her clinic. And because of her dedicated Middle Eastern clientele from the United Arab Emirates, Zuzu is considering opening a clinic in that country.
“If you are passionate and dedicated, you can achieve greatness at any age. By committing to something you love, your passion will shine through in your work, leading to a successful business. With the right mindset and determination, anyone can build an empire,” Zuzu says.
