Home décor is a constant work in progress, and the holiday season is just the right time to spruce up your personal space with eye-catching pieces to complete your festive look, from jewellery boxes to stands, trays, vases, candles, and candle holders from none other than H&M Home’s new collection in a one of a kind collaboration with jewellery designer Amélie Riech.

In an exclusive interview with Evelina Kravaev-Soderberg, H&M Home Head of Design and Creative, she reveals all about the new collection and the inspiration behind it. “This Holiday season is all about colours, patterns, and textures, from baubles and ornaments to cushions. We wanted to reinvent the traditional Christmas palette; using a blend of hot pink and energetic red, classic candy cane stripes to a black and gold mix. We wanted to encourage our clients to mix and match and find new ways to adorn their homes for the holiday season with our fun unique assortment.”

Besides the modern designs and the excellent quality H&M offers, we can’t help but love that one of their main objectives is using sustainable materials in their designs. “Sustainability is as essential for us as it is for the entire H&M Group, which has a strong history and development in sustainability. We want to ensure that fashion and interior can continue to be appreciated today and for generations, and that’s why we put enormous effort into making sound design and quality products that can last a long time.”

According to Evelina, the number one accessory piece everyone should include in their home décor to get that chic-cozy aesthetic feel is a statement candle holder or candelabra and, of course, a scented candle. We also got her advice on how to balance between what’s trendy and how to stay authentic to our personal taste. “My advice would be to make sure you surround yourself with objects you love and let the interior decoration process take its time; the space is equally important as the things you put in it, so you have to take the time you need to feel the space in order to make it functional, beautiful and personal,” she shares.
