As the sun sets on festive season, Spinneys has teamed up with Abu Dhabi waste management centre Tadweer to compost discarded Christmas tree to use as fertiliser on local farms.

All you have to do is return your undecorated natural tree to any Spinneys store by 15 January 2021 and it will be sent to Tadweer’s organic waste composting facility to be turned into fertiliser with no cost to you.

Before you buy a real holiday tree, sustainability experts advise to research whether there’s a collection service or method in place to make sure it’s composted responsibly.
