THE LIBRARY AT THE ARTS CLUB

Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Jay Z’s favourite exclusive London hangout is opening in DIFC at the end of the year and applications for membership are now open. The Arts Club Dubai is welcoming  those with a passion for the arts, music, literature, design, science, technology, health and well-being, entrepreneurship, business, philanthropy, law, finance and fashion.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR THE HAUTEST NEW MEMBERS’ CLUB IN TOWN?

Sounds like you? Here’s what you need to know:

Applicants will need to be put forward by two existing members to complete their application, known as the Proposer and Seconder – who either need to be new members of The Arts Club Dubai or existing members of OG The Arts Club in London. Complete applications go on a waiting list and a new crop of members is reviewed each month based on what the board feel you will contribute to the community. Those without a Proposer or a Seconder are able to meet with the membership team to apply in person.

There are four membership categories: Full, Second (for married couples), Under 30s and International. For Full membership there is a one-off Dhs15,570 joining fee and a Dhs15,750 annual fee. For Under 30s, membership is Dhs7,785 for both the joining fee and the annual fee. Second membership (which can be purchased if your spouse is already a full member) does not require the joining fee, and the annual fee is Dhs7,785. The joining fee for International members depends on whether you’re opting for a Full, Second or Under 30s membership and the annual fee is Dhs5,780.

As well as an exciting cultural programme of talks, current debates, tastings, exhibitions, studio tours, trips, workshops, cabarets, panel discussions, music and dance led by Sybel Vazquez, you can also expect two homegrown restaurant concepts plus a nightclub that promises progressive music, with international DJs headlining intimate sets. Will you be applying for membership?
