So often, brown mascara falls off the beauty radar in favour of mainstream black, but the below picture of Hailey Bieber has us placing an order on as we type.

The post was shared by makeup artist Leah Darcy, who frequently works with Hailey, Kylie Jenner, Lori Harvey, Jasmine Tookes and Camila Morrone. She shared a carousel of the model and skincare entrepreneur looking as stunning as ever, alongside the caption “brown mascara just hits dif”.

The overall look was in line with Hailey’s go-to makeup aesthetic (glazed skin, fluffed brows, a rosy flushed cheek) but this time with a poppy lip and chocolate-y eye. The brown mascara definitely softened the look, giving her lashes a super natural but defined finish. Consider us influenced.

Brown mascara has long been considered a great option for blondes, or those with lighter features as it’s not as stark as black. But like a lightened brow, it gives an ethereal, soft-focused effect – we’re expecting to see more brown mascara action as we move into 2023.
