The 2022 Venice Film Festival opened overnight with the world premiere of White Noise, a dark comedy film adapted from the 1985 Don DeLillo novel of the same name. Director Noah Baumbach walked the red carpet with his partner and fellow filmmaker Greta Gerwig who also stars in the film.
After appearing at a photo call for the film wearing a black Christian Dior suit earlier in the day, the radiant Gerwig chose another timeless ensemble with glittering Bulgari pieces from the jeweller’s High Jewellery Divas’ Dream collection. She wore a necklace in white gold and a detachable bracelet set with mother of pearl, turquoise and chrysoprase elements, 1 cabochon cut tanzanite, 19 round brilliant-cut diamonds and pavé-set diamonds. It was accompanied by matching drop earrings and an emerald ring.
White Noise also stars Adam Driver and Jodie Turner-Smith with a release date of December 30 on Netflix. The premiere was attended by the likes of Barbara Plavin, Emma Chamberlain and Julianne Moore.
Baumbach is also known for directing Marriage Story while he serves as a writer on Gerwig’s upcoming film Barbie. In 2019 the pair had earned six Oscar nominations each for Marriage Story and Little Women, respectively – talk about a power couple. The highly-anticipated film starring Margot Robbie is the fourth film Gerwig has directed.
The couple met on the set of Baumbach’s 2010 film Greenberg while he was married to Jennifer Jason Leigh. They sparked romance rumours in 2013 and after taking their relationship public welcomed a son, Harold Ralph Gerwig Baumbach, in 2019.
