Those of us in the Middle East know the power the region has in the fashion industry. And now, the rest of the world is also clueing in.

In recent years, a number of notable Arab celebrities and personalities have become the face of a slew of luxury Maisons. Famed fashion houses such as Dior, Chanel and Valentino are a few of the brands who have put an Arab face to the name. Here, GRAZIA highlights just some of the Arab celebrities who have been crowned the face of global luxury brands.

Cynthia Samuel Bakri – Dior Beauty

Lebanese Canadian model and actress Cynthia Samuel Bakri, known as Cynthia Sam, was made an official skincare ambassador for Dior beauty in May 2023. However, that is no surprise, she needs to drop her skincare secrets ASAP.

Nancy Ajram – Tiffany &  Co

Nancy Ajram, iconic Lebanese singer and the reason people from all over the world are familiar with Arabic music, was named the ambassador for Tiffany & Co earlier this year.

Salma Abu-Deif – Maison Valentino

Salma Abu-Deif, Egyptian actress and fashion model became the ambassador for Maison Valentino after signing with the Italian luxury fashion house in 2020.

Mila Al-Zahrani – Boucheron

Mila Al-Zahrani is a Saudi actress who stars in several TV series and feature films. In November 2022, luxury brand Boucheron announced Al-Zahrani as their new ambassador.

Tara Emad – Chanel

Egyptian actress and model Tara Emad has been unveiled as the newest ambassador for Cartier earlier this year. Emad, who already has a long-standing relationship with the French heritage jewellery house, stunned in a new campaign wearing series of exquisite pieces from the Clash de Cartier, Cartier Love and Trinity collections.

Bassel Khaiat – Bulgari

Syrian actor Bassel Khaiat was announced as the first regional ambassador for Bulgari last week. “I am extremely proud and excited to join Bulgari family as the first male regional ambassador,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “This opportunity allows me to embody the brand’s rich legacy and heritage, reflecting its charm and sophistication.”

Ahmed Malek – Dior

Egyptian actor Ahmed Malek was announced as Dior’s Middle East fashion and fragrance ambassador in September this year. Featured on the covers of GQ Middle East and Esquire Middle East, Malek is a rising star.

Imaan Hammam – Estée Lauder

Dutch-born, Moroccan-Egyptian model Imaan Hammam was announced as the global ambassador for US cosmetics brand Estée Lauder in May this year. Moreover, Hammam has starred on the runway of many famed fashion houses such as Burberry, Fendi and Prada.

Yasmine Sabri – Cartier

Egyptian actress Yasmine Sabri has been an ambassador for Cartier since 2020. In fact, Sabri was the first woman from the Middle East to be given this role. With an Instagram feed full of chic outfits and flawless makeup, she is the perfect face for Cartier.

Karen Wazen – Guerlain

Karen Wazen was unveiled as the first regional ambassador of Guerlain’s skincare line in early 2022.
