Last month, superstar Saudi-based footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announced they were engaged.
The Netflix star confirmed the news in a joint Instagram post showcasing the huge sparkler of a ring with the caption, “Yes, I do. In this and all my lives.”

Now, just over two weeks later, Georgina has publicly debuted the huge diamond ring, which is reportedly worth upwards of $3 million (Dhs11 million approx) on the Venice Film Festival red carpet.
The 31-year-old, who is based in Saudi Arabia with her husband-to-be, wore a black lace Roberto Cavalli design paired with an array of high jewellery pieces by Pasquale Bruni, including a statement Rosina high jewellery collier combination in 18k white gold with diamonds, rubies and pink sapphires.
Georgina ensured her sparkler from Cristiano was in full view of the cameras, as she held up her hands to reveal her full diamond set.
Georgina’s red carpet appearance in Venice was her first official outing since announcing her engagement to her footballer fiancé after eight years together.
The couple first met in Madrid when Georgina was working as a retail assistant for Gucci at the time.

“I didn’t think at the beginning that [the relationship] would be this strong. That I would fall in love with her,” the footballer previously said of the early days of their relationship during the first episode of I Am Georgina. “I didn’t expect it, honestly. But after a while, I felt that she was the woman of my life.”
The pair went on to welcome their first child together, a daughter named Alana Martina, in November 2017. In April 2022, Georgina and Cristiano went on to welcome twins, a boy and a girl, but unfortunately, the baby boy they named Angel died during childbirth. They named the baby girl Bella Esmeralda. Cristiano also has three other children, 15-year-old Cristiano Jr., and eight-year-old twins Mateo and Eva Maria, and while they aren’t Georgina’s biological children, she is said to treat them as her own.
The entire family relocated to Saudi Arabia in January 2023, after Cristiano signed with Al Nassr football club. He reportedly signed a deal for $200 million and has been described by the club as “history in the making”. Since then, the Ronaldo-Rodriguez family have regularly been seen out and about in Riyadh, holidaying in AlUla and exploring nearby Dubai.
