Georgina Rodríguez and Cristiano Ronaldo are currently enjoying a leisurely family getaway by the ocean – and while it may look like the Maldives, it’s in fact a up-and-coming Saudi destination.
Amidst the picturesque backdrop of Ummahat Island, the Riyadh-based superstar couple, along with their five children, are unwinding at the St Regis Red Sea Resort, near Jeddah.
Taking to social media this week, the model and businesswoman gave us glimpse into their family bonding moments, along with snaps of pristine sea views and mesmerising sunsets.
“My world,” she wrote on the caption of the post. In the images, we see Georgina lounging out by the pool, the kids enjoying playtime indoors, and Cristiano having a bonding moment with his son, Cristiano Jr, who will turn 14 years old later this month.
Meanwhile, the sportsman also took to social media, sharing an image of himself in high spirits in front of the ocean. “Recharging,” he wrote to his 631 million followers on Instagram.
Their luxury getaway comes after Cristiano competed in the King’s Cup football final last week, where his team, Al Nassr lost to Al Hilal in a nail biting match. After an emotional reaction to the end result, the football star is definitely deserving of some much-needed downtime – and the couple chose the perfect escape.
The resort recently hosted the first-ever Red Sea Fashion Week, where swimwear was showcased in the Kingdom for the first time.
It seems the duo are fond of seaside destinations, having visited in a different island in the region last year. Since then, the couple have continued to explore the wonders of Saudi Arabia, recently paying a visit to AlUla and frequently enjoying glamorous dinner dates at five-star restaurants in Riyadh.
