The GCC is home to many of Instagram’s it-girls, who we can’t blame for escaping to cooler destinations when local temperatures reach inhumane highs. While all of them jetted off to premier travel destinations, some found themselves solo-tripping in Europe, others opted for regional girls’ trips celebrating friendship and sisterhood, and a few made the classic family trip back home look like a luxury the rest of us are missing out on.

ICYMI, here’s where our favourite content creators spent their summer holidays.

Yara Al Namlah (And her besties) at the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia

Yara Alnamlah, her sister Joud and girlfriends Nawal Khalaf, Dana Nageeb, Tara Abujrab and Jory Almaiman ventured westward to KSA in celebration of Treat’s new lip collection. The group stayed for two days at Miraval The Red Sea, an all-inclusive luxury wellness sanctuary for adults. Across their social media accounts, the creators posted about serene yoga classes, vibrant smoothie making workshops, rejuvenating spa treatments and a chaotic night of cooking.

Reina Bitar in Mykonos

Reina Bitar traded Dubai for Mykonos, a cosmopolitan Greek island in the Cyclades with vibrant nightlife, iconic architecture and upscale beach clubs. For her airport ensemble, she went with luggage from Tumi Travel, sunnies from Karen Wazen and activewear from LUV. Later in the trip, she went with a gorgeous navy blue gown from Fashion Jardim, then this bold coral and zebra-print look from Innovare Denim, before finishing with dinner at Zuma in a light blue dress from Jaded London and a handbag from Maria Pino.

Maitha in the Netherlands

Lifestyle and fashion influencer Maitha spent over a month dedicating space on her Instagram grid to her memories solo-tripping in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. She shared everything from aesthetic visual diaries and fit checks to canal views and local landmarks from both countries. The style icon was seen taking in the sights on a bicycle, stopping by museums, picking up bouquets, posing with pigeons and more.

Yasmine Zahran in Egypt

Model and social media personality Yasmine Zahran went back to her roots this summer, choosing to spend the better part of it in her home country of Egypt. She passed time on the beaches of the north coast with her family, secured an au naturale tan and gave us outfit inspiration that makes us want to book flights to somewhere beachy ASAP. Her best look? This blue cover-up paired with a chunky silver bangle, rimless sunnies and a brown paisley-patterned bandana she sported at Kiki’s Beach Bar in Alamein.

Wdeema Almheiri in Switzerland

Wdeema AlMheiri gallivanted around Switzerland last month, creating content mainly in the charming town of Montreux and near Lake Lucerne. Her hotel of choice was the refined Bürgenstock Resort perched 1,640 feet above the lake, a premier alpine destination with panoramic mountain and stunning blue water views. AlMheiri also stopped by the resort’s “diamond-domed” indoor synthetic clay tennis courts. This was the entrepreneur’s second trip of the summer, the first being to Comporta in Portugal earlier.

Nia Amroun in London

Our hearts go out to Nia Amroun, who left Dubai’s sweltering heat for promises of greener pastures and instead found herself, as she so eloquently put it, “HEATWAVE maxxxxing in London.” To combat the weather, the fashionista stuck to iced matchas from Blank Street, was married to her sunnies and paired lots of flowy linen items together from brands like Jil Sander, Primark and Cayet. Her summer neutrals were effortlessly elevated by handbags that provided each outfit with a pop of colour.

Lebanese businesswoman Moni Hasbini opted for a summer at Sahel, the white-sand beach in the north of Egypt famous for its beach clubs and luxury getaways. Throughout the trip, she was never to be seen without her trademark Hiba Hasbini jewellery, of which she is the CEO. The trip also included a range of culinary delights, with Hasbini posting pictures of pastries, fresh fruit, iced coffees and the like.

Tia Lineker Ibiza And Monte Carlo

British expat Tia Agombar spent time with her family on Spanish island Ibiza and luxury destination Monte Carlo. Over the vacation, she sported brands like Naked Wolfe, Uhlalá by LL, Malina, Pretty Little Thing, Jacquemus, Cos and countless others. The family opted for fine-dining meals at spots like Xiringuito Xuclar and Restaurante Ses Boques. While in Monaco, they stayed at Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo.

Karen Wazen In Lebanon

Entrepreneur and fashion icon Karen Wazen took a family trip to Lebanon for the summer to launch the Karen Wazen Beach Club at Aïshti by the Sea rooftop in Beirut alongside unveiling a pop-up at Faqra Club in the mountains. The new beach club includes a branded rooftop pool, sunset sessions, premium dining and an exclusive boutique for her eyewear and merchandise. Wazen, her husband Elias, three kids and dog Gigi stayed at luxury resort Faqra Club Kfardebian while they were home.

Dima Sheikhly in Thailand

Iraqi fashion, beauty and fitness influencer Dima Sheikhly ventured to the southeast of the continent with her nephew and sister for her summer holidays. The creator spent time in the ornate shrines, bustling street markets, and boutiques of Thailand’s capital city, taking in its vibrant nightlife and refined dining scene at Haawm and Felix Bangkok. She also went scuba diving in Koh Tao and spent a few days on the Koh Samui island.

Hind Al Marri in Mumbai

Hind Al Marri travelled to Mumbai in late July for a brand trip with Shama Perfumes. To celebrate 50 years of the Perfumery, Al Marri was invited to the city where it all began. She explored traditional scent-making and local craftsmanship, documenting days filled with artisanal markets, regional cuisine, local textiles, and sensory experiences across the city.

Nika Kes in Montenegro

Content creator Nika Kes documented her trip to Montenegro with scenic Adriatic coastal views and beach outings. She spent time with the cats in Montenegro’s cat city of Kotor, went swimming in Budva and tried local delicacies at Restaurant Mlin and Tuna Fish Bar. On the fashion front, Kes opted for a summer vacay wardrobe from Calzedonia, With Jéan, Charmstore Club, Lumique and Senso.

Lebanese influencer, homeware brand founder and designer Nathalie Fanj stopped by the southeast coast of France for a trip to Saint-Tropez and the wider Côte d’Azur with her husband and two sons. The creator spotlighted elegant summer style from Kaoa, Suncillo, Emilio Pucci and more. Her standout look is this white co-ord ensemble with a zebra-print scarf from Heiress Beverly Hills.
