With coffee table books slowly becoming an interior essential every woman must add to her living room, the long-awaited coffee table book necessity is finally here. Assouline, publishers of the dreamiest books on every style-guru’s table, has worked side-by-side with Louis Vuitton to create the masterpiece that is Louis Vuitton Manufactures. The book embodies the true meaning of savoire and showcases to the world how the French luxury label carefully considers different aspects when choosing the perfect location for its atelier. ‘Louis Vuitton Manufacturers‘ also exhibits the effort and energy that is put into every item they design.

Louis Vuitton believes that an atelier is a place of ‘fulfillment and individuality,’ a place that nurtures artisans to defy norms of a traditional workshop and help create an environment where poise can be learned and built. Louis Vuitton’s ateliers have expanded from the borders of La France, to the small town of Keene, Texas. Each atelier’s location is chosen due to its historical importance and architectural vitality.

The Louis Vuitton Manufactures book has exclusively commissioned photographs. It presents the beauty of the locations and buildings hand-picked to carry Louis Vuitton’s ateliers. Not only does the book highlight the importance of picking the perfect location, but it also shines a light on the never-seen-before world of ateliers, with pictures of the exquisite artisans whom pour their souls into every Louis Vuitton creation,  whether it’s a bag, fragrance, high jewellery or dress. The brand carefully picks their artisans to carry the founders’ techniques and touches into the 21st century.
