Each year Kuwait National Day is celebrated on February 25.

Over the weekend, the Gulf nation commemorated its 63rd year as an independent thriving country.

With a lineage of transformative leadership, the national day pays its respects to the late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah. As Kuwait’s first Emir, the visionary ruler established the nation’s independence from the Britains in 1961.

Additionally, the day also commemorates the country’s 32-year long liberation from the Iraqi occupation of 1991.

Armed with a deep history of great triumphs and unwavering advancement, Kuwait celebrates yet another year of trailblazing leadership and prosperity this year.
