best chinese restaurant dubai SHI

Just when we thought we couldn’t be any more obsessed with SHI (it boasts seriously chic interiors, amazing views across the Marina and Palm, unbelievably delicious Chinese and Japanese food and the best in-house singer we’ve ever heard) it went and launched a load of new dishes in celebration of its second birthday. And we died and went to Asian food heaven. On the Chinese side, there’s everything from juicy lobster served with creamy peppercorn sauce to the Chinese version of a cheesy, spicy prawn quesadilla made with lotus fruit (ob-sessed), and on the Japanese side we’re talking sea bass carpaccio, melt-in-the-mouth scallops and the best spicy crab rolls outside of Japan. Alongside some SHI classics, of course. Two words: sweetcorn dumplings.
