The UAE has earned a new title. Deserving of its city chic, Dubai has officially become the most popular city on TikTok.

With over 31.9 million posts and climbing, Dubai, the city of dreams, has reached unprecedented heights of fame.

Between the luxury lifestyle, an array of shopping hubs, and decadent cuisine culture, it’s understandable why the city has claimed the spot.

Needless to say, Dubai has been at the forefront of incredible records. With developments such as the longest beach, new hotel launches, and fashion spots that seem endless, content on TikTok seems only be growing even further.

According to Bounce, a travel guide, Dubai takes the lead, with London (10.3 million posts) and Paris (8.8 million posts) trailing behind.

Dubai is also officially home to the world’s most popular landmarks.

The Dubai Mall, which received over 57 million visitors in the first half of 2024, and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world attracting over 17 million visitors annually, make Dubai one of the most popular tourist destinations.

As the home of luxury, it’s no surprise that many come to experience world-class hospitality. Dubai boasts some of the finest five-star hotels in the world, such as the ocean-themed Atlantis, The Palm, drawing tourists who crave a taste of opulence.

With Dubai receiving over 9.31 million tourists in the first half of 2024, it’s clear the city will continue to attract more.

As His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum said to the Government of Dubai Media Office, “Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his strategic vision, Dubai’s tourism sector continues to demonstrate its robust growth potential and attractive proposition for global travellers.”
