This renowned event will take place on January 7, 2024, and excitingly is set to return to the scenic route around the Burj Al Arab for the first time since 2020.

Known as a highlight in the UAE’s annual sporting calendar, the Dubai Marathon offers a variety of race distances, including 4km, 10km, and the classic 42.195km marathon, accommodating everyone from casual joggers to seasoned runners.

Starting and finishing on Umm Suqeim Road, the race will take runners past Jumeirah Beach Road and under the shadow of the iconic Burj Al Arab and Madinat properties. This fast and flat route is perfect for smashing your personal records – it’s a favourite among competitors aiming for top speed and fun.

The event, organised in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Police, and the Dubai RTA, also includes a new additional entry to ensure this race is inclusive for all, with a wheelchair marathon.

As well as the race itself, UAE residents and UAE driving license holders can also look forward to more than their own personal victories with the chance to win a brand new  EXEED RX, adding to the event’s excitement. (T&Cs apply).

The Dubai Marathon is a celebration of the vibrant spirit of the emirate’s sporting community, offering more than just medals to its participants.

Of course, as it marks the first major sporting event of the year, early registration is essential to guarantee your spot. You can register here.
