The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children recently launched its latest project, ‘Isolation Building’, with L’Oréal Fund to support Women. The project aims to protect the beneficiaries and faculty, ensuring its services reach the highest safety measures possible. Upon the arrival of new residents to the country, they will be directly transferred to the isolation buildings to undergo a series of medical screenings to ensure their safety before moving to their main shelter.

It goes without saying how heavily Covid-19 has impacted the social and economic crisis on women worldwide, along with the increased domestic abuse cases. In 2020 L’Oréal fund for women created a three-year charitable fund of 50 million euros under the L’Oreal ‘For the Future’ program, which groups 2030 sustainable development roadmap.

Acting Director-General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children’s care, Mrs Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, has been working tirelessly on creating clear policies in efforts to provide shelter services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, child abuse and human trafficking. With the foundations newest project, they are hoping to create the uttermost safety for all inhabitants, including cases and employees.

Rémi Chadapaux, Managing Director of L’Oréal Middle East, shares, “With the pandemic’s devastating effects, especially on women resulting in the increase of abuse and domestic violence, we felt the urge to play our part by supporting the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children in its mission to protect women and provide a safe and healthy environment during these difficult times. We are proud of our ongoing partnership with the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, which reaffirms L’Oréal’s commitment to protect and empower women in the region.”
