Black History Month is a month of celebration and appreciation: a month that empowers black people all around the world. Black people have had their accomplishments neglected and seized throughout history. The purpose of this month is to convey the accomplishments of black people, rather than focus on the struggles black people face up to this day – yet of course not neglecting these struggles. This month was founded in the United States, but it has slowly roamed across the globe and has become an international month of appreciation. To further pursue Black History Month’s core goal, we’ve rounded up a number of Black History Month movies you can watch from the comfort of your own bed that appreciate and celebrate black people all around the world.
