In November it was revealed that Chris Evans had been secretly dating Alba Baptista. Shattering the dreams of Lizzo and our own that we’d one day manifest a romance with the handsome actor. “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her,” a source told People at the time.

While the couple have kept their relationship so secret (for a whole year!) Evans has gifted his followers rare insight into their relationship and we can confirm it’s adorable. At the weekend the Capitan America star shared a 50 second clip to Instagram stories where he collated a series of videos of the couple’s scare cam.

For the unacquainted Baptista is an actress who recently starred alongside Lucas Bravo in the fashion-fuelled romantic drama Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. In 2022 she was honoured with the Shooting Star award at the Berlin Film Festival and is a passionate humanitarian, most recently working with orphanages in Cambodia. What’s not to love?!

Evans was last linked to actress Jenny Slate. The couple split in 2017. Following their shock breakup Evans gushed about the star in an interview, telling People, “she’s the best”.

“I’ve never, ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does. She’ll give you one sentence and there’s no fat to it,” he told the publication. “You’re like, ‘You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.’”

All that is left to do is wait for a red carpet debut?
