The Street Style At Chanel’s Haute Couture Show Was A Sight For Sore Eyes
A lesson in chic summer dressing
The Chanel Autumn/Winter 2022-23 Haute Couture show took place in Paris overnight and was a jaw-dropping display of suits, Mademoiselle Chanel-inspired long dresses, pleats, and bright colours. But beyond the repainted lace, bright green, and celestial jewellery of the runway, the street style was truly something to marvel at.
Celebrity guests attending the Chanel Haute Couture show included Olivia DeJonge, Keira Knightley, Soo Joo Park, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
French artist Xavier Veilhan played an important role in creating the show’s set, according to Chanel’s creative director Virginie Viard. The setting for the show was inspired by a camouflage of optical illusions, using shapes and stripes. In addition to being an elegant backdrop for a myriad of runway looks we won’t be forgetting for a while, it was also a perfect place to see what attendees wore to the exclusive show.
And, as always, there was style inspiration to be found outside the show on the Paris streets, where attendees reminded us there really are a million different ways to style Chanel.
