This year, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth became the first British royal member to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years on the throne. The Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend celebration took place from the 2nd to the 5th of June and here is how celebrities and the fashion world welcomed this historic accomplishment.

Charlotte Tilbury

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury celebrated The Platinum Jubilee by bringing her entire glam squad and makeup line to the historic day. She was accompanied by her brand’s ambassador and actress Phoebe Dynevor, as well as supermodel Kate Moss, who all seemed to have gotten the signature Charlotte Tilbury glowy look.

Naomi Campbell

Supermodel Naomi Campbell attended The Platinum Jubilee this weekend in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign. She wore a beige Burberry trenchcoat inspired dress from the RTW Fall Winter 2022 collection, which she styled with a pair of sunglasses and layered on the silver jewellery.

Burberry

The British luxury fashion house and official Platinum Jubilee partner Burberry celebrated this historic day by plastering drawings and messages made by kids in the community on bus notice boards in London. These drawings were made in honour of The Queen and formed part of Burberry’s many Platinum Jubilee activations.

Another activation by Burberry in honour of The Platinum Jubilee celebration was their floating meadow installation. This meadow was made out of over 5,000 plants and reflects their commitment to helping better the environment through protecting nature by replanting, promoting pollination, and producing zero waste.

In honour of The Queen’s 70-year reign, Burberry also designed the Burberry Platinum Jubilee Scarf, which consists of a hand-illustrated pattern representing the wildlife and pollinators found in British woodlands. This is another one of the luxury fashion house’s activation initiative’s leading up to The Platinum Jubilee and can be purchased through their website here.

Sam McKnight

Celebrity hairstylist Sam McKnight was spotted celebrating on the parade float at The Platinum Jubilee alongside friend and life-long client Kate Moss, as well as supermodel Naomi Campbell, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, and various other celebrities. He wore a pair of navy blue trousers with a matching navy blue jacket and a print white button-up shirt. He accessorised the look with a Charlotte Tilbury bag, orange lace-up sneakers, and a silver royal baby spoon brooch.

Kate Moss

Best dressed at The Platinum Jubilee was British supermodel Kate Moss channelling all the British pride. She wore a black satin maxi dress paired with an iconic vintage Union Jack blazer from the Spring Summer 1993 collection by John Galliano, which she wore back in the 90s. Moss finished off the patriotic British look with a pair of red Vivianne Westwood heels and her timeless beachy blond waves styled by hairstylist Sam McKnight.

Patsy Kensit

Aboard The Platinum Jubilee float was actress Patsy Kensit who wore a long-sleeve velvet and mesh maxi black dress with red, white and blue floral print. She styled the look with a pair of velvet maroon pumps, minimalistic gold rings, and a red Chanel flap bag. She was seen dancing and celebrating the Royal British holiday among her A-list celebrity friends.
