When arriving, you’ll be mesmerised by the red hue splattered across the pyramidical walls with the large iconic Panthère gracing the side, drawing you in with its sultry presence and giving you a glimpse of what’s yet to come. The exhibition is a means to pay poetic homage to the evolution of the most celebrated symbol so far.
A visionary journey like no other, the Cartier exhibition showcases a distinct pathway of the Panthère’s many facets and the exquisite craftsmanship involved through four enchanting stages, giving you a peek behind the scenes with a series of the brand’s archival sketches, photographs and videos that immerse you into a luxe world of all things opulent.
As you walk through the lavish yet welcoming doors, you’ll be greeted with an all-white minimalistic ambience with gold detailing across the walls preparing you for an alluring journey that awaits. The exhibition presents you with three doors that will transport you into the magical realm of the Maison’s fine artistry and history, while also paying homage to its creative director Jeanne Toussaint from 1933 to 1970.
Bruno Carraz, the managing director of Cartier Saudi Arabia, credits Toussaint for exceptional dedication towards the brand, “Cartier owes so much of who we are today as a Maison to the visionary force of nature that was Jeanne Toussaint. Our commitment to the timeless craftsmanship is unparalleled, and we are thrilled to share our Panthère legacy with our community in Saudi Arabia, with this magical exhibit.”
The exhibition showcases a life-size replica of Toussaint’s Parisian all-white office that is brought back to life through dynamic projection, an ode to the legendary creator and her progressive influence on the contemporary jewellery brand.
