The Arab Fashion Council and Dubai Design District are set to present the second-ever Dubai Fashion Week this month, with a renowned international fashion house to inaugurate the event.
The emirate will welcome New York luxury fashion Maison Carolina Herrera and its creative director Wes Gordon to officially open Dubai Fashion (DFW) presenting its SS24 collection, which was recently unveiled at New York Fashion Week.
On October 8, 2023, Gordon will officially launch DFW in a private event for the media and celebrities. The following day, the brand will present its SS24 collection at Dubai Fashion Week.
Gordon himself shared his excitement at bringing Carolina Herrera’s SS24 collection to Dubai.
“We are thrilled to be a part of Dubai Fashion Week for this season,” he said. “We couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to bring our Spring Summer Collection all the way from New York, and to have the opportunity share it with the fashion community of Dubai and the Arab Fashion Council. We look forward to staging an unforgettable experience.”
This sentiment was echoed by Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, acknowledging the milestone of welcoming the international luxury house to the UAE.
