With the upcoming national holidays and the drop in temperature, Fujairah police, on 21 November, announced through its official Facebook page, a camping ban in all areas of the emirate. With winter right around the corner, this is the season most popular among campers. The decision for the ban comes in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and ensure the safety of UAE residents. Those in violation of the ban will be referred to the relevant authorities. Similarly, Sharjah police announced on its official Twitter page over the weekend, that the previously imposed ban on camping and overnight beach stays will resume. The third emirate imposing a similar ban is Ras Al Khaima. The ban imposed in Ras Al Khaima was initially enforced in September and will continue until further notice.
