Regardless of the season, era, or mindset we find ourselves in here in Dubai, the city’s vibrant events season always brings forth a new wave of art, culture and extraordinary experiences. The latest addition to this dynamic scene is Bottega Veneta’s immersive sound and music event, “Waves.”

Offering a multisensory experience that seamlessly integrates high fashion with impeccable artistry, the legacy Italian fashion house chose the celebrated multidisciplinary arts space, Concrete in Alserkal Avenue, to host its newest extension.

Under the visionary creative direction of Matthieu Blazy, this awe-inspiring experience delves deep into the DNA of the Arab world on multiple levels. From its expansive circular seating arrangement to its desert-inspired setting, the event creates a world-bending atmosphere that resonates with the region’s essence. Bringing beloved names from the Middle East and beyond to showcase their unique sound, the experience was offered to a fortunate and exclusive invite list.

Avant-garde on every level, the immaculate space was co-designed by the renowned Lebanese architect Carl Gerges, boasting soft, effervescent lighting, warm earthy palettes, and a standout sound installation by Lebanon-born Tarek Atoui. Blending the rules of fashion, music, and beyond to create an arena that pushes creative boundaries to limitless heights, Bottega Veneta showcases the region’s unyielding commitment to refined imagination.

Consistent with the stealth-wealth pioneer’s dedication to paying homage to the region, Bottega Veneta had a remarkable musical line-up to soundtrack the evening in Dubai.

From securing Bella Hadid as an everlasting fan to garnering close to 50 million likes through her viral TikToks, the resonant and warm Palestinian vocalist Nemahsis undoubtedly left the room in awe with her deeply captivating lyrics and velvety deep sound booming through the space.

Following closely behind her, the Palestinian-Jordanian beauty Zeyne also had her moment with the mic, taking her beautifully layered R&B songs to melodically immaculate heights with each set.

Taking a traditionally honest turn, the legendary Egyptian composer Dina El Wedidi brought her culturally rooted folk sounds to the room as well, captivating the audience to new heights. Punctuated with a Moroccan twist, Bachir Attar set a trance-like atmosphere in the room with his folkloric tunes, closing out the immersive night.
