It feels like just yesterday that we were laughing at Blue Ivy Carter’s adorable facials while being embarrassed by her megastar parents at the Grammys. But though we’d like to believe time stood still during the pandemic, the young daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z is proof that we all did, in fact, unfortunately, all age during the past few years. So much so that Blue Ivy is now a full-blown tween.
The devastating proof of my lost last years of my 20s came in the form of Blue Ivy sitting courtside at an NBA game in San Francisco on the evening of June 13th with her rapper dad, looking every bit grown up — and quite embarrassed of her father’s PDA.
Proving she’s inherited her mum’s sense of style, the 10-year-old wore a leather motorcycle jacket over a black T-shirt with the words “Brown Skin Girl” written across the front (the title of her and her and Beyonce’s Grammy-winning hit) with a pair of baggy black trackpants and Nike sneakers. She accessorised with a pair of stylish sunglasses and hoop earrings and wore her long hair loose with her curls covering her face.

“Throughout the game Jay had his arm around her shoulder and was pointing out different things on the court to her,” an eyewitness told E! News. “He was so proud of her. He gave her a big dad kiss on the cheek.”
The onlooker added, that the pre-teen “got a little embarrassed when she was shown on the Jumbotron,” saying it was a “cute” moment. This cute moment was actually caught on camera, showing Blue Ivy, indeed, looking embarrassed of her dad and saying “c’mon” when he gives her a kiss.

At the end of the game, Jay Z took his eldest child to meet some of the team, including Stephen Curry, who Blue Ivy was reportedly excited to meet. “Her and Jay-Z were by the locker rooms after the game,” a source told E! News. “She was so excited to meet Steph. He shook her hand and hugged Jay.”
