These Bahraini royal women are inspirational, with some assuming the roles of presidents, directors and chairpersons of government entities. HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa is the first wife and consort of the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She is the mother of Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. A dedicated supporter of women, in 2001 Bahrain declared that HRH Princess Sabeeka would serve as the new women’s council chair. This group encouraged women to vote in the 2001 elections. A few years later, she was appointed head of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Women in 2008, an organization that promoted the growth of women’s rights in the country.

HH Sheikha Jawaher Al Khalifa

Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Khalifa is a humanitarian at heart and also a champion for female entrepreneurs in both Bahrain and the UAE.  Apart from uniting several foreign companies, the young sheikha serves as the current chairman and founder of Green Aventurine Holding. Her entrepreneurial pursuits across several industries serve as a source of inspiration for young girls globally. Additionally, she holds an executive position in the European Women’s Association.

H.H Sheikha Aisha bint Rashid Al Khalifa

Her Highness Sheikha Aisha Al Khalifa is the first member of Bahrain’s royal family to become a female jet pilot. The Bahraini royal graduated from the esteemed Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, UK which led her to flying a solo BAE Hawk in the company of her grandfather, Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman. Sheikha Aisha is a pioneering female pilot from the Gulf who presently serves as a pilot officer in the Royal Bahraini Air Force.

Hh Sheikha Nayla bint Hamad bin irahim Al Khalifa

Her Highness Sheikha Nayla bint Hamad Al Khalifa is the Chairperson and Founder of Royal Life Saving Bahrain. RLSB is the nation’s aquatic authority in water safety and drowning prevention. Additionally, the Sheikha is the Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation (MKF). MKF instills the value of volunteering and community service amongst Bahraini youth.

H.E Dr. Sheikha Munira bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa

H.E Dr. Sheikha Munira bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa is the Executive Director of Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies. With a bachelors of the highest honours at Webster University in Geneva, she was the first Bahraini to be awarded the Clarendon Scholarship from the University of Oxford, where she earned her PhD. There are an array of achievements under her belt, namely the title of Director General of Mohammed Bin Mubarak Academy for Diplomatic Studies in Bahrain as of December 2022.
