Louvre Abu Dhabi stages a major survey of Picasso’s lifelong study of the human form, from early Iberian influences to radical Cubist deconstructions. It is a museum-grade moment with smart curation and generous loans, ideal for a cultured morning before a waterside lunch on Saadiyat. Reserve timed entry to avoid queues and consider a private guide for deeper context across the permanent galleries.

Installed across SAF’s Al Mureijah Square galleries, the show rewards an unhurried circuit with a scholar’s eye, ideally followed by a detour to the Kalba Ice Factory for contrast. Time your visit to coincide with guided talks.

Dubai’s most compelling week for contemporary art, Alserkal Art Week concentrates on openings, talks, performances and slow gallery walks across the Avenue. Expect a dense programme and a serious crowd, but the experience remains intimate at street level. Book a driver drop on First Al Khail Street and plan two passes, daytime and after dark, for a sense of the scene’s breadth.
