Sharjah Art Foundation, Jorge Tacla (Feb 8–Jun 7, 2026)
An expansive survey of Jorge Tacla, spanning more than 170 works, maps trauma, memory and architecture through a signature “negative” painting method. Installed across SAF’s Al Mureijah Square galleries, the show rewards an unhurried circuit with a scholar’s eye, ideally followed by a detour to the Kalba Ice Factory for contrast. Alserkal Art Week (Feb 25–Mar 3, 2026)
Dubai’s most compelling week for contemporary art, Alserkal Art Week concentrates on openings, talks, performances and slow gallery walks across the Avenue. Expect a dense programme and a serious crowd, but the experience remains intimate at street level. Book a driver drop on First Al Khail Street and plan two passes, daytime and after dark, for a sense of the scene’s breadth.
