New year, new Hollywood dating rumour. This time, it’s not who Leonardo DiCaprio is sailing the Carribeans with or who Em Rata’s new beau is, but instead, whether Angelina Jolie and Paul Mescal have a little something something going on…
The filmstars were spotted recently in London at Almeida Cafe & Bar in Islington on what seemed to be a coffee date, sparking rumours that the two are potentially dating.

Jolie met up with Mescal after seeing him in a performance of A Streetcar Named Desire at the Almeida Theatre. While the coffee date could be nothing more than an innocent catch-up – especially considering Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh, was also present – it does come mere weeks after Mescal and his former girlfriend (rumoured fiancé) Phoebe Bridgers split.
The snap of the duo was taken by a passerby who immediately posted the image to the fan account @paulmescalpics, which then uploaded an Instagram Story saying, “Angelina Jolie saw ‘A Streetcar named desire’ yesterday and after they grabbed a coffee at the @almeida_theatre Cafe.”
Lately, Bridgers has been spending a lot of time with comedian Bo Burnham, sparking rumours the two are a little more than friends. The American musician recently spoke on dealing with heartbreak in an episode of Amelia Dimoldenberg’s ‘Chicken Shop Date’ YouTube series, saying: ‘You just have to do it. And it’s gonna end at some point but you can’t make it end, that’s my tip.’
Bridgers, who was dating Mescal for over two years, was also asked about what she has learned from heartbreak: ‘I think if I had figured that out, I wouldn’t be making music still.’
