Angelina Jolie has paid a visit to the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt, where she met with members of the Red Crescent and those providing humanitarian aid, according to the AFP.
The Hollywood star, who is known for her activism and is a former special envoy for the UN refugee agency, showed solidarity with the Palestinian people on her visit, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
According to local media, the actress met with Egyptian officials upon her arrival and visited the Egyptian Red Crescent’s warehouses where supplies are being given to help those suffering in Gaza following the Israeli attacks over the past two years.
Per other reports, the Wanted actress is set to meet with Gazans who have been injured and are currently receiving medical treatment.
