The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) 2024 kicked off in style on Thursday with a glamorous opening ceremony in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district, Saudi Arabia.
Now in its fourth year, the festival saw a influx of stars hit the red carpet, including Georgina Rodriguez, Eva Longoria, Will Smith, Emily Blunt and Cynthia Erivo, all turning heads on the red carpet in stunning outfits from fabulous designers like Balenciaga and Carolina Herrera.
This year’s festival is all about strengthening the film industry in Saudi Arabia while spotlighting fresh voices and talent from the region and beyond.
As part of this year’s festivities, visitors can look forward to exclusive screenings, panel discussions, and workshops, as well as opportunities to network with leading figures from the global film industry.
Taking place in the newly constructed Cultural Square in Al-Balad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the festival is being hosted in a venue that blends tradition and modernity. With its stunning architecture inspired by the historic Al-Balad style, the space features five cinemas and an auditorium, which will host many of the festival’s screenings and premieres.
