Sarah Burton just unveiled the most Sarah Burton collection for Alexander McQueen. For autumn/winter 2021, the British designer looked to the healing properties of water and flowers for inspiration. An explosion of anemones adorned dramatized dresses, voluminous skirts and tailored tees, this collection is definitely the embodiment of what makes a strong, grounded and radiant woman.
“We looked at water, for its healing properties, and at anemones,” Sarah Burton said of the collection. “Anemones are the most ephemeral flowers, here made permanent in cloth. The women wearing the anemone dresses almost become like flowers, like their embodiment, their character – but amplified, grounded, radiant and strong.”
