Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have no doubt been across the escalating Beckham family feud.

However, if it hasn’t been all over your FYP like ours, allow us to give you a rundown.

Over the weekend, Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, took to social media to release an explosive six-page statement via his Instagram stories where he accused his parents of being controlling, prioritising the “Brand Beckham” over family relationships, and even trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz.

Now, the Beckham family drama took an unexpected detour yesterday when Alana Hadid, sister of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, weighed in on the escalating conflict – taking a public swipe at Nicola.

In response to the ongoing drama, Alana took to Instagram comments, calling out what she views as the irony of Brooklyn’s emotional plea for privacy while publicly sharing intimate grievances – and she didn’t hold back about Nicola’s role. Her comment labelled the actress as “fame-hungry,” saying Nicola had “been trying to be famous for a decade.”

What’s her connection to this, you ask? Well, perhaps part of Alana’s scrutiny could be linked to Nicola’s past relationship with Anwar Hadid, the younger brother of Alana, Gigi and Bella. The pair dated from late 2016 through to mid-2018.

The pair quietly parted ways around 2018, but in the wake of the split some observers noted that Nicola unfollowed members of the Hadid family on social media – a move that fuelled speculation about lingering tensions. Social media users have since revisited this timeline amid the Beckham feud, drawing parallels between claims of family estrangement then and now.

Nicola started dating Brooklyn in 2020. The pair then married in April 2022 in a high-profile and lavish Palm Beach ceremony that initially appeared harmonious with both families.

Yet, the harmonious wedding appearance now reveals cracks with Brooklyn stating that Victoria, “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour,” which left her having to urgently find a new wedding gown.

Questions of the truth of his ‘eleventh hour’ statement have been circling online. For the nuptials, Nicola wore a custom Valentino design walking down the aisle which British Vogue highlighted was “the culmination of a year’s worth of conversations with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s team, two trips to the Rome HQ, and two U.S. fittings.” Whether one year qualifies as the ‘eleventh hour’? That question remains.

The wedding antics only go further with Victoria having allegedly sabotaged the newly-weds’ first dance having “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”

And that’s not all. Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in August 2025, in what he called an attempt to “create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety”, where neither Victoria nor David were in attendance, a clear sign confirming the floating gossip about a family feud.

While the Beckhams are known to paint a harmonious family picture, posing for photos and attending events together, observers couldn’t help but notice that Brooklyn and Nicola had also skipped David’s 50th birthday party earlier in 2025, further adding fuel to the fire.

Thus, Brooklyn’s Instagram escalation doesn’t come as a complete surprise amid the years worth of simmering rumours of a family rift. Yet, the extent of his revelations has the internet’s jaws dropped.

Ending his statement by defending Nicola, Brooklyn says, “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life,” stating that from the estrangement to his family, he wakes up every morning “grateful for the life I chose, I have found peace and relief.”

Neither Victoria nor David have responded to Brooklyn’s claims, but we’re keeping our eyes firmly glued to our screens, hoping to get more insights as the drama unfolds.
